Description

A quick and satisfying Easy Beef and Broccoli recipe featuring tender thinly sliced beef sirloin or flank steak and crisp fresh broccoli florets coated in a rich, flavorful vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural) glaze. Perfect for busy weeknights or impressing loved ones with a wholesome, balanced meal bursting with savory and tangy notes.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef and Broccoli

  • 300g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 250g fresh broccoli florets

Sauce

  • 3 tbsp vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (natural)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (natural)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp natural gelling agent

Other

  • 2 cloves garlic, freshly minced
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or light cooking oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients: Slice the beef thinly across the grain to keep it tender during cooking. Chop broccoli into bite-sized florets and mince garlic and ginger finely. In a small bowl, whisk together vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), soy sauce (natural), brown sugar (natural), apple cider vinegar, and natural gelling agent to prepare the sauce.
  2. Cook the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the beef slices quickly until they turn brown but are not fully cooked, then remove them from the pan and set aside to keep them juicy and tender.
  3. Sauté the Broccoli: In the same pan, add more vegetable oil if needed, then toss in the broccoli florets. Stir-fry with garlic and ginger until the broccoli is crisp-tender and vibrant green, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Combine and Glaze: Return the beef to the pan and pour the prepared sauce over everything. Stir continuously to coat the beef and broccoli evenly, allowing the sauce to thicken and glaze the ingredients beautifully, usually within 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Finish with Sesame Oil: Turn off the heat and drizzle sesame oil over the dish for extra aroma and depth. Toss briefly to distribute the flavor before serving immediately.

Notes

  • Cut beef thin for quick, tender cooking.
  • Use fresh broccoli for the best crunch and color.
  • Do not overcook; stir-fry on high heat and keep ingredients moving.
  • Marinate beef briefly in soy sauce (natural) and garlic for enhanced flavor.
  • Mix the natural gelling agent with cold water before adding to avoid lumps.
