Ingredients

Scale

Dough Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (one packet)
  • 1 cup plant-based milk, lukewarm
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup plant-based butter, softened

Filling Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Biscoff spread
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1/2 cup smoked turkey bacon, cooked and chopped

Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients

  • 1 cup plant-based cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (natural)
  • 1/4 cup plant-based butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (natural)
  • 1/2 tsp natural gelling agent

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Warm the plant-based milk until lukewarm. Sprinkle the active dry yeast over it and let it activate for 5 to 10 minutes. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Stir in the yeast mixture and softened plant-based butter gradually, kneading the dough until smooth and elastic. Cover with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm spot for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  2. Roll out and fill the dough: Once risen, turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it into a large rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread an even layer of Biscoff spread on the dough, leaving space around the edges. Sprinkle cinnamon evenly and add optional smoked turkey bacon or nuts if desired. Carefully roll the dough lengthwise into a tight log.
  3. Cut and arrange rolls: Using a sharp knife or dental floss, slice the log into 10 to 12 equal pieces. Place the rolls into a greased baking dish, spaced apart for rising. Cover and let them rise for 30 to 45 minutes until puffy.
  4. Bake to perfection: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown and fragrant, ensuring soft centers without over-browning.
  5. Prepare the cream cheese frosting: While baking, blend plant-based cream cheese with powdered sugar (natural), vanilla extract (natural), softened plant-based butter, and a small amount of natural gelling agent. Whip until light and smooth.
  6. Frost and serve: Remove the rolls from the oven and cool slightly. Generously spread the cream cheese frosting over the warm rolls so it melts into every nook and cranny, creating a gooey top layer.

Notes

  • Ensure plant-based milk is warm, not hot, to activate yeast properly.
  • Allow the dough to rise fully for soft, fluffy rolls.
  • Roll dough evenly for consistent layer thickness.
  • Spread frosting while rolls are warm for a melted, luscious effect.
  • Store leftover rolls tightly wrapped to keep soft.
